SESSION 1 (ages 5-10)*: 12 noon - 1:30pm EST
SESSION 2 (ages 11-14): 2.00pm - 3:30pm EST
*Parents and guardians with children ages 9-10 can opt to sign their children up for the older age group. Please send us an email if you choose to do so.

As a camp, we are dedicated to creating excellent content, assembling the best team of Teaching Artists for our children, and making sure our camp is financially accessible to all who wish to attend.

Eligibility
This camp is geared to children ages 5-14. As US-based Zimbabwean artists (some of us are parents as well), we understand the difficulty of nurturing a cultural environment for our children away from home. Our goal is to serve that need.
Priority registration will be given to families where both or one of the parents are Black Zimbabweans. We also believe in the collaborative power of Pan-Africanism and the need to bridge continental African and African Diasporic communities. Priority registration will also be given to Black families residing in the US.
To ensure the safety of our children, we require an online application and will extend invitations to participate based on the applications. Camp classrooms are capped at 15 children with a waitlist option available.

Scholarships
We want this experience to be accessible to all US-based Zimbabwean children, while also making sure our artists are well-supported during this pandemic.
Economic hardship scholarships/sliding scales are available on a case by case basis. Please email zimbabweartists@gmail.com for scholarship information.
We would also like to encourage those with the means to do so
to consider paying more than the camp price as support to the artists or for kids to attend camp. Please email zimbabweartists@gmail.com if you are willing to do so.
